Apologize (song)

Apologize is a song written by Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic frontman. It charted strongly around the world, reaching number one in 16 countries and was the biggest radio airplay hit in the history of Top 40 radio in North America. It played 10,331 plays in one week, until its record was broken by Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love."

The remix version, produced by Greg Wells and Timbaland (also mixed) was featured on Timbaland's studio debut album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value. It includes Timbaland drum beats, with his added vocals and was highly successful, becoming Shock Value's third unofficial single. Due to this remix it caused "Apologize" to enter the US R&B charts. You can also find the remix on OneRepublic's studio debut album, as a bonus track.

Apologize (lyrics)

I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
And I'm hearing what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

That it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothing new - yeah yeah

I loved you with the fire red
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late whoa.....

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah
I'm holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground...

Apologize (Music video)

There are many versions. The original music video for the song, did not release, but featured sepia-toned, grainy footage of Tedder playing the piano and singing.

Another video was made with the remix and was flimed on September 19, 2007 and released in early October. The video, directed by Robert Hales, was shot in a recording studio and shows Ryan Tedder and the other band members performing the song. You can view this version here.

There is a version made by Aaron Platt and directed by Mark Edwardsand. I am not too sure but it maybe the original music video. View below.
